Elizabeth I Sword - Letter opener

The Sword underwent rapid changes during the first half of the 16th Century, greater protection was given to the whole hand both in the vertical and horizontal planes and swords became increasingly decorative. This letter opener is made with steel blade with the handle cast in a pewter based white metal. The letter opener is antique silver plated to highlight the detail.

The 17cm long letter opener is supplied in a box with clear lid together with historical information.
